Answers to the most common questions. If yours isn’t here, email us at support@tesify.app and we’ll reply within 2 business days.
How do I start my thesis?
Create your account, tell us your topic and the type of paper (thesis, capstone project, feasibility study or action research) and Tesify builds a proposed outline with the usual chapters. From there you work one section at a time; you don’t need everything defined before you start.
Do I need a credit card to begin?
No. The free plan doesn’t ask for a card and has no trial countdown. There’s a paid plan you’ll see inside the app, never before you’ve written anything.
How do APA 7 citations work?
You enter the source details (or paste the link or DOI) and Tesify generates the in-text citation and the reference list entry, with hanging indent and alphabetical order. As you cite inside the editor, the reference list updates itself.
What exactly does the originality check do?
It compares your text against published sources and academic work, and gives you a report showing passages that resemble something already published. It’s there so you can spot missing citations or paraphrases that sit too close to the original and fix them yourself before submitting. It does not remove matches or guarantee a percentage.
Can I work in short sessions?
Yes. Your document saves as you write and you resume where you left off, so you can move in 20 or 30 minute blocks between classes, org work and shifts.
Does it work on mobile data?
Yes. It runs in your browser with nothing to install, and your work saves as you go, so a dropped connection doesn’t cost you the section you were writing.
What formats can I export to?
Word (.docx), PDF and LaTeX, with margins, pagination and title page ready for submission.
Is my paper private?
Yes. Your document is yours, we don’t share it with third parties and we don’t use it to train artificial intelligence models. You can export or delete it whenever you want.
How do I close my account or delete my data?
Email privacy@tesify.app from your account address and we’ll process the deletion. Export anything you want to keep first: deletion can’t be undone.
